Abstract
This talk is to introduce the current research project on ldquoSystem Cell Engineeringrdquo aiming at the understanding communication and control principle of basic function and integration functions of the cell from the viewpoints of micro and nano robotics system. In this talk, multiscale manipulation technology from nano to macro scale is focused as well as the promotion of the interdisciplinary research works between engineering, biological and medical fields. By controlling local environment around cells, we can actively lead to chemical and physical interactions inside and outside the cell using bio-manipulation methods and measure reactive changes. Then we can elucidate the mechanism of the cell system, and realize an artificial cell model based on gene expression control, and regenerate tissue by finctio control based on the engineering innovative technology.
