Abstract :
The US Army Strategic Defense Command (USASDC) approach to the definition and implementation of reliability and maintainability (R&M) programs for research and development (R&D) efforts is discussed. The method the Command employs to monitor and track R&M program implementation is described. Lessons learned from previous programs implemented at the Command are identified and their application is discussed. Presented are R&M task requirements for a typical R&D program
