Abstract
In this paper a new and effective electromagnetic model for PM machines is presented and analysed. The new mathematical model is based on the modified equivalent circuit per phase of the PM machine and is developed based on the space-vector theory. Using the new model the performances of the electrical machines for the linear and saturated case can be described with high accuracy. The accuracy of this model is verified and validated by comparing with other methods (measurements and FEM calculations).
