Abstract
In this contribution we report on our experiments on biosensing in liquids with acoustic surface wave devices. We discuss a coating technique for protection of the device transducers from aggressive liquids. We then present a technique that constrains the liquid to the sensitive part of the device using glass capillaries. With these methods the sample volume can be reduced to a few microliters
