Abstract :
A key requirement for development of new EDA applications is network support. In this paper we introduce IVE, an Internet based, distributed VHDL environment. IVE can distribute VHDL related design data, software components and services over networks. It is implemented purely in Java, so that it is platform independent. It is applicable in distributed, concurrent design, teamwork development and provision of IPs
