Abstract :
This paper presents an analysis of the performance characteristics of three-phase permanent magnet AC-generators equipped with damper windings. Static and dynamic performances are discussed. A dq-simulation model is used to analyze the damper winding performance. Guidelines for the parameter dimensioning of damper windings are given.
