Abstract :
A simple methodology for creating fast models of microwave structures is presented. Our approach is based on a so-called shape-preserving response prediction (SPRP) technology which is adopted here to work directly with EM simulation data of the device under consideration, without using its low-fidelity model. SPRP allows us to create accurate models at a low computational cost of just a few electromagnetic simulations. It is demonstrated that it can provide better accuracy than standard approximation techniques. Application examples for parametric optimization, statistical analysis and yield-driven design are provided.
