Abstract
The problem of radar images modelling has become a hot topic in connection with remote sensing technique enhancements. This paper is devoted to a research by means of a computation experiment of those new qualities which surface microgeometry brings into radar image properties. The size of microgeometry does not exceed the wavelength λ. The problem of H-polarized plane wave scattering from perfectly conducting smooth and rough cylindrical surfaces was considered by means of the method of discrete singularities (MDS). One-dimensional radar images h(r) were computed and discussed
