Abstract :
The scattering problem of monochromatic electromagnetic wave excited by elementary magnetic dipole located in free half-space for an arbitrary three dimensional object is considered. The method of integral equations is proposed for solving this problem. The proposed method enables one to obtain a priori information about the scattering properties of resonant objects buried in the ground or other dielectric media. Such information can be used at the stage of ground penetrating radar construction, and also for solving numerous problems of subsurface sensing
