  • Abstract
Battery preservation is a major issue in Wireless Sensors Network (WSN). In this paper we focus on scheduling sleeping/running mode of each sensor in a 1-hop clustered WSN, in order to minimize the time spent in running mode, and to efficiently avoid collisions. In a 1-hop cluster, communications can be easily managed. We propose a correct schedule of the discussion over the different clusters that avoids collisions on sensors belonging to several clusters. The proposed solution is based on mathematical programming: we model the different constraints from (i) the discussion protocol in a 1-hop cluster, (ii) collision avoidance on a sensor belonging to several clusters.
