Abstract
This paper presents the use of a new standard of home automation interface whose one application is monitoring the elderly at home. First, authors present the France Telecom R&D Teledomotis workgroup, as well as the new interface between the automation LAN via different WAN links. Many potential applications are presented, with in particular, the one related to the multisensor monitoring of the elderly and the disabled, based on analysis of data from non-intrusive sensors. The paper concludes on research perspectives and on the evolution of the Teledomotis standard
