Abstract :
In this paper a new capacity evaluation approach for cellular CDMA systems employing different channelization codes is presented. The approach is based on a new outage condition definition and overall system error performance evaluation. Numerical results show that, compared with the CDMA system employing the Walsh or OVSF channelization codes, the CDMA system employing the ZCZ (zero correlation zone) channelization code has much higher Erlang capacity
