Abstract :
A planar RF transmit coil used for vertical field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is presented in this paper. This kind of coil has been invented and used for several years. It has a simple structure and can produce homogeneous RF magnetic field. It can be easily designed as a quadrature transmit coil. In this paper, we described the structure of the coil, and the resonance characteristics of the coil. We design a coil used for 0.23T permanent magnetic MRI, and then we measured its homogeneous of RF magnetic field and its power efficiency.
