Abstract :
A model of saturable valve reactor is investigated. Starting from the equivalent circuit diagram of a transformer, the relative differential permeability of the strip wound cores and the coefficient of coupling are identified as basic parameters. These parameters are determined with the help of impulse voltage measurements for a certain reactor with Silectron strip wound cores. Thereby new results are gained concerning the dynamic magnetization behavior of these cores. Simulation yields good agreement with measurement for impulse magnetization.
