  • Abstract
The problem of the complex source-point beam scattering and absorption by a lossy circular dielectric shell as well as lens-like two-layer cylinder is considered. Both E and H polarizations for inside and outside source locations are treated. An algorithm based on the recurrent formulas for the cylindrical functions with complex arguments has been used. As a result, various scattering patterns as well as the scattered and absorbed power fractions, and directivity were calculated for different shell and cylinder parameters
