Abstract
Due to the necessary minimization of the magnetic stray field generated by power electronic circuits the various ways on PCB-level to reduce these stray fields become more and more important. Therefore in the context of a laboratory for power electronics students several different approaches on this topic are explained theoretically and experimentally. The various measures are then compared to each other by their effectiveness. The theoretical aspects are completed with some formulas on Faradays law to provide information on measurement techniques which are needed for the practical part of the laboratory. For the experiments a macroscopic model for the minimization techniques is presented. The obtained results will show the same behaviour as the values of the theoretical model.
