Abstract :
SOLEIL is a 2.75 GeV third generation synchrotron radiation facility near Paris. To transfer the beam from one accelerator to the next, fast switching magnetic devices are required, with pulse durations ranging from musec up to 24 msec. It was decided not to use thyratron switches, even for HV systems, and to build all power supplies of these systems by using silicon switches. We present in this paper the design and realisation of these pulsed equipment, based on the association of standard DC power supplies with a pulser, which enables to avoid pulsed current amplitude regulation. We will also give some elements on the magnets realisation, as the magnetic performances of the magnets load were controlled with a specific strategy.
