  • Abstract
    This paper presents the application of a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) device to control an electronic ballast for low wattage high intensity discharge lamps based on Buck-Boost cascade converter. The proportional-integral controller was digitally implemented and experimental results are presented.
