Abstract :
An e-Portfolio, also known as an electronic portfolio, is a system for collecting and managing a traditional portfolio for a person by using information and communication technology (ICT). Analog to the traditional portfolio, it contains an “electronic” competency evidence of a person, assembled and managed for and by this person, or another organization. Nowadays, various organizations create their typical e-Portfolios for different reasons, and some problems arise, such as interoperability of the e-Portfolios. In this paper, Korean trends of e-Portfolio applications are described with an overview of e-Portfolio matters. Towards interoperability of e-Portfolios, a learner information model for Korean higher education is introduced and e-Portfolio standardization activities are described.
