  • Abstract
This paper studies the intra-cluster knowledge diffusion from the cognitive perspective. Borrowing the concept of schema from the social cognition, we proposed a cognitive community-based analytic framework. We then conducted a case study on a socks cluster in China, and an agent-based simulation to explore the dynamics of intra-cluster knowledge diffusion. The results indicate that the cluster´s initial distribution of knowledge has great impact on the process of knowledge diffusion. Knowledge flows in the channel of cognitive community and the clusters with high-level low-heterogeneity knowledge distribution are more efficient in knowledge diffusion.
