Abstract :
This paper describes the fundamental requirements for harmonic voltages and current measurements for low voltage equipment, V≤600 V. It is explained that such measurements must be performed using a nearly perfect sinusoidal voltage with a standard internal impedance. This condition provides the base for comparison among different nonlinear loads. Another topic discussed in this paper is the importance of accurate and calibrated transducers and analyzers.
