Abstract :
Custom power applications are in their infancy. Therefore, the present applications can be characterized as between early adoption and proof of concept. There are no or few useful standards that enable the users and suppliers to communicate performance requirements in an unambiguous manner. Thus expectations from the user community are not always met even if the equipment performs as expected. This paper addresses some aspects of what suppliers and users have to consider in a typical custom power application.
