Abstract :
A methodology is described for the generation of reminders and advice in the context of real-time supervisory control of a complex dynamic system. GT-MOCA (the Georgia Tech Mission Operations Cooperative Assistant) is a system designed to aid the flight operations team analyst in the monitoring and control of a simulated satellite ground control system. A key component of GT-MOCA cooperative behavior is its dynamic, context-sensitive generation of advice and reminders to the human operator. This work focuses on the knowledge structures and strategies that GT-MOCA uses to perform advice generation. The system incorporates a conceptual model of operator intentions
