Abstract :
This paper deals with the fault diagnosis of rotor asymmetries in induction motors controlled by a field oriented technique. A detection algorithm reveals the possibility to identify even just one broken rotor bar using mathematical models with and without an encoder input. Experimental results show the successful operation of the proposed scheme.
