Abstract
The computational efficiency of algorithms for solving the electromagnetic diffraction problems based on the stream-type grids (STG) method have been shown previously. Unlike the rotor grids of the TLM-method that were investigated in a number of papers and considered in the literature as the impedance-grids form of the finite-difference Maxwell´s equations, the STG are proved by the symmetry and duality of scattering matrix of elementary cubic volume (a descriptor) marked by the commutation magnetic and electric walls. The stream circuit of the descriptor is depicted and explained
