Abstract
Sim-G Technologies, LLC (Sim-G), has developed a prototype collaborative system to aid in countering the threat of improvised explosive devices (IED). This is accomplished through the use of knowledge discovery, collaboration, data mining, signature visualization and GIS tools. A functional demonstration of SASP integrates the information available in the open source intelligence community supporting the development and execution of information-sharing and collaboration systems to assist in the exchange of reporting information between intelligence collection centers and repositories, Intelligence Community (IC) analysts, and the war-fighting and decision-making community. The SASP has been utilized in critical programs in the Department of Defense.
