Abstract :
W band rotatable waveguide junction, which can be used for an antenna gimbal or similar application, is researched and developed. It is consisted of rectangular waveguide and coaxial waveguide. GA (genetic algorithm) and software HFSS is combined to optimize the parameters. Experimental data show that the insertion loss is less than 2 dB and return loss is greater than 17 dB over a band from 92.5 GHz to 94.5 GHz. The performance of the rotatable waveguide junction will be improved in future.
