Abstract :
A tendency of growth of the differential phase shift Δβ, produced by a circular waveguide, filled with azimuthally magnetized ferrite has previously been established in the case where the outer part of the anisotropic medium is replaced by an isotropic dielectric toroid whose permittivity εd exceeds that of the ferrite εr. The aim of this study is to specify the limits which Δβ may reach, if the εdr-ratio gets very large. The boundary-value problem approach, extended with an iterative procedure, is applied, giving the phase characteristics of the structure
