Abstract
To meet the need of safe production in coal mine, a RSSI-based location system of wireless sensor networks is designed. According to signal decay model of 2.4 GHz microwave and the data measured at site, we obtain the RSSI range model of 2.4 GHz microwave. Consideration of the topographic features and practical needs of coal mine, the location algorithm that is suitable for coal mine is designed. The simulation results and practical test show that the RSSI-based location system we designed is easy to implement and has a higher accuracy.
