Abstract :
This paper aims to present a systematic review regarding studies that involve three-dimensional virtual environments in the air traffic control tower context over the last 10 years. For this review it was considered 3 scientific bases and papers obtained in the exploratory analysis phase. Altogether 53 studies were considered, of which 16 were elected in the selection phase. After the extraction phase the remaining 11 papers are presented in this review. As a conclusion, it was identified that the subject is being studied in several research centers around the world, but the NASA centers showed more significant participation than the others. It was also demonstrated that this area still have many research opportunities to be fulfilled and interesting challenges to be faced.
