  • Abstract
A description is presented of the development of a framework for identifying and selecting human factors evaluation issues in the evaluation of a new control room interface. The analysis develops three components: a classification of operational tasks that will be performed through the interface, a performance model that makes explicit the psychological components underlying performance, and a model of how the control room supports performance. These three components are then integrated to define a comprehensive set of evaluation issues. Details of the three components and the way in which they are integrated are provided.<>
