Abstract
This paper presents a glimpse of the research activities carried out at our institute during the last three decades. Starting from the development of high performance phase shifters, other key technologies developed that utilizes suspended strip line, fin line, dielectric integrated guides and micromachined circuits are described. Details of a special Master level program conceived at our institute to popularize Microwave Education and Research in India are next presented. Novel educational trainer kits developed to impart training to the students to familiarize them with practical aspects of Microwave Integrated Circuits are described. Lastly, efforts made through IEEE MTT local chapters to motivate students and faculty to opt for specialization in Radio Frequency and Microwave IC Design technology are presented.
