Abstract
In this paper, we present the transient responses of voltage and current waves on dual-mode ring resonator bandpass filters. The modified central difference (MCD) analysis method is applied to clarify the operation characteristic of the circuit components for a ring resonator with tightly coupled-lines. The coupled-line model is composed of mixed even- and odd-mode equivalent lines. The propagating voltage and current waves along the transmission lines on the dual-mode bandpass filter are demonstrated to confirm the circuit operation. For the simulated results, good agreement between the proposed method and SPICE like simulator is obtained.
