Work in progress - integrating bos, swot analysis, balanced scorecard and outcome-based framework for strategy formulation of engineering school

Higher education is a growing industry. For the past few years, the number of higher institutions offering engineering programmes has been increasing dramatically. In the increasing competitive environment, engineering schools are concerned about competitive advantages, market share, quality of engineering education and services. This paper presents a complete strategy formulation by integrating Blue Ocean strategy, SWOT analysis, Balanced Scorecard and Outcome-based framework for meeting the demanding challenges of engineering education. This integral approach encompasses all the functional and operational activities of engineering education and embraces innovation into teaching and learning activities. It highlights that creating uncontested market through value innovation to attract non-customers can become more effective only when all the strategy approaches are integrated and woven together.
