Abstract :
This paper describes a simplified parallelization of the near-field interaction in the multilevel fast multipole algorithms (MLFMA) based on a data decomposition strategy with an improved load balancing and the data locality. It shows good performance on distributed memory computers using the message passing interface (MPI).
