Abstract
We attempt to improve the objectivity of fuzzy modeling and control by introducing a general and unified parameterized formulation to the reasoning process. As a result, we are no longer restricted to a few reasoning formulations. The reasoning parameters can then be optimized based on input-output data obtained from the system
