Abstract :
Methods are described which have been adopted by the US government to protect the environment and a discussion is outlined of the evolution of PCB (polychlorinated biphenyls) removal technologies from simple land fills to sophisticated destruction processes. The electric rules and the fires rule are discussed. Various retrofill and reclassification technologies are examined along with on-site separation technology. The first commercial facility for the total destruction of askarel transformers is described
