Abstract
In this paper, a novel compact dual-band bandpass filter using stepped impedance resonators (SIRs) with open-stub is presented. This filter is composed of two half-wavelength SIRs and open stubs. With properly coupled structure, this filter has compact size. The frequency response of dual-band at 2.4/5.7 GHz can be achieved by adjusting the impedance ratio (K) of SIR and the size of open stub. Simulated results show that this BPF has return loss of -21 dB at 2.4 GHz and -34 dB at 5.7 GHz, and 3-dB fractional bandwidths (FBW) of two passbands are 33% and 17%.
