Abstract
Software defined networking (SDN) is a paradigm where a central software program, called a controller, dictates the overall network behaviour. However, relying on a single controller has major drawbacks including lack of scalability. The paper proposes the scheme that multiple controllers manage multiple network devices, and one network device can be managed by more than one controller. The mathematic model of the scheme is constructed to analyze the performance of our scheme. Then we conduct numerical experiments. The experiment results disclose how to improve the performance of our scheme.
