The Austrian ECODESIGN Information Point, an information platform for ECODESIGN in the Internet

Sustainable development and ECODESIGN are especially modern terms in Austria. Researchers as well as practitioners are more and more interested in the issue of reducing the environmental load of products and services. This is why the Federal Ministry of Science in cooperation with the University of Technology is running the so called Austrian ECODESIGN Information Point (Infopoint) as an Internet platform. The idea is to offer one single gateway to the topic of ECODESIGN for various user groups. The concept of the Infopoint is to integrate under one address all the various activities of ECODESIGN worldwide, but with a focus on Austria´s activities. In this paper the project of the Austrian ECODESIGN Information Point in the Internet is presented. This is a world-wide information platform for ECODESIGN
