Abstract :
Threaded Windows utilizes a dynamic concept for handling a very large number of general purpose registers. This concept enables fast context switches and a short interrupt latency. It is well suited for real time systems. Unfortunately, there are also some disadvantages. To avoid most of the disadvantages of Threaded Windows, we started the development of Multi Windows. In Multi Windows, the data structures were simplified and improved. The exception routines are less complex and faster. Both concepts are discussed
