Abstract
The amplitude frequency characteristic curve of microwave power amplifier is nonuniformity in its frequency band. To improve the flatness and the stability of the transmission characteristic, a method is presented in this paper that is to place a microwave amplitude equalizer in the output port of an amplifier. With the help of HFSS (high frequency structure simulator), the modeling, simulation and optimization for a given equalizing curve are completed. The simulation results of the transmission characteristic and VSWR (voltage standing wave ratio) show that the designed coaxial resonator has advantages of simple-structured and easy-debugging, and the designed equalizer may preferably compensate for the amplitude distortion of the amplifier.
