Abstract :
In this paper, we introduce a large scale distributed resident-oriented disaster information system based on peer-to-peer network. System usability and robustness are taken into consideration for the case where some of the disaster information servers are damaged or destroyed. The traffic load by congestion just after disaster is also considered by introducing load sharing protocol. A prototype disaster system is constructed and a middleware for both disaster recovery and load sharing protocols is developed using JAXTA, and functional and performance evaluation is examined. Throughout the examination by the prototype system, we could verify the usability and robustness of our proposed disaster information system.
