Abstract
This paper provides a reliable dielectric measurement theory of an open resonator for non-planar objects such as convex-concave objects. The complete analytical formulas on complex permittivity are presented by means of the second-order theory of the open resonator and the field matching method for the first time. Furthermore, the measurement system is designed and built up at Ka band, and the consistency of the results between plane samples and non-planar samples verifies the accuracy of the new theory.
