Abstract :
A structured approach to definition and documentation is helpful when working bilingually in overseas projects. The management concept used is that of levels in a hierarchy of objectives, from the mission down to the contributions of individuals. Key words are agreed upon as descriptors in both languages. Key results are quantified rather than described in prose. This results in clarity across the language barrier. A major contribution will be made by a good bilingual secretaryl handling the final grammatical presentation, while the participants concentrate on the verbal framework. A spinoff appreciated by top management is the enhanced linguistic ability of their staff.<>
