Abstract
The author considers how telecommunications technology can reach clients who are remote from the base of operation. Six transmission systems for communicating with distant audiences are discussed, and a model that suggests innovative ways to begin a program at minimal expense is presented. An example of how one institution determined its options and is gradually building a full-scale media production center that will serve new audiences is given.<>
