Abstract :
This paper describes new classes of specialised information systems called UBIAS and E-UBIAS. Such systems belong to the group of cognitive reasoning systems and are designed for the semantic analysis of complex patterns having the form of biomedical images. These systems are predecessors of a new generation of intelligent systems for understanding of merit content of medical visual data, and using this data as biometric characteristics.
