  • Abstract
This paper presents a hardware tool that helps educators and students collect data from different types of sensors: temperature and humidity, light, 2-axis acceleration, sound, magnetic and tilt. The device also includes actuators consisting of a buzzer and several LEDs. The system is flexible and other types of sensors can be added, namely: atmospheric pressure, COx, NHx or other air gases, air quality, wind speed, direction and precipitation quantity, radiation, etc. Due to the various utilization scenarios and its ease of use, the developed system is well suited for realizing didactic data acquisition applications. By attaching a device with Internet communication capabilities to the developed data acquisition system, the resulting entity can become an active component of the Internet of Things.
