Abstract :
In this paper, an adaptive modulation based algorithm is proposed for MIMO systems to minimize transmission power when the linkpsilas quality of service (QoS) requirements are given. Here, we assume an uncoded single user MIMO using rectangular quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM). In the proposed algorithm, the modulation order is considered as adaptation parameter and transmission rate and bit error rate (BER) are taken into consideration as QoS parameters. As the numerical results shows, the proposed algorithm can be used for power saving purposes.
