Abstract :
The ground-based atmospheric microwave sounder is introduced. It is a multi-channel passive radiometer operating at K-band and V-band. By receiving and analyzing the earth´s generated and reflected radiation at the two frequencies, the instrument will measured the vertical distribution of atmospheric temperature and humidity. The principle of microwave sounding is presented and the detailed system design of the multi-channel atmospheric microwave sounder is also described in the paper.
